Conferences

The 18th Congress of the European Hematology Association was held in Stockholm last week. The EHA granted me a travel award so I could attend. It was nice, there were a lot of people from all around the World. Unfortunately, my accommodation was rubbish but I've survived....and could see my Hungarian friends/colleagues that made us very happy.

This week was held our institutional conference in the Royal Holloway, Egham. This campus is part of the University of London. Amazing parks and buildings.

Peer-reviewed evolutionary rap music

I've just found some very funny videos how you can teach evolutionary theories to non-experts. This guy is just hilarious.
First, I bumped into this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoQa5_NQDcc

then visited Baba Brinkman's wepage: http://www.bababrinkman.com/
where found more (short) ones like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irrKFXCoi0A

Enjoy!

Provence

We spent a couple of days in Provence. The weather was beautiful with a temperature 10C higher than here in London. Renting a car proved to be a good idea since we could visit several places within that amazing area. Now back to work...three conferences and a course during the next three weeks...
